This article covers the starter motor replacement for the V-Twin Engines

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

To reduce the risk of injury, user must read and understand the operator’s manual before using this product.
DO NOT make any adjustments to the generator without first stopping the engine and disconnecting the spark plug wire.
Burns from hot parts — let the engine cool completely before touching hot parts.
Injury from moving parts
To reduce the possibility of fire or explosion, be careful when working around gasoline. Keep cigarettes, sparks and flames away from all fuel‐related parts.

Remove the battery cables or disconnect the battery cables (depending on your model)
Use a 13mm Socket Wrench to remove the red cable from the relay
Slide the wires off under the red cable
Use the 10mm ratchet and a socket to remove the bolts that hold the starter in place

Remove the old starter and replace it with the new one, following the steps backwards to put the new starter on.
